TCM Backlot Chapter Outing: To Kill a Mockingbird

L to R: Lexi, Liz, Dan, Janine, Kami, Caroline, Kim

The Raleigh/Cary TCM Backlot Chapter met up today to see the TCM Big Screen Classics presentation of To Kill a Mockingbird. I think I can speak for the entire group to say that this afternoon we were transported to 1932 and Harper Lee’s fictitious town of Maycomb, Alabama.

Afterwards, we gathered for classic film chatter. The group was unanimous in our enjoyment of the film and praise of Gregory Peck’s Oscar-winning performance as Atticus Finch.

Great time with a great group. Summed up by this exchange from the movie:

“Atticus, he was real nice.”

“Most people are, Scout, when you finally see them.”
